Tis the season- part 1- Shoes!!!!

It's been awhile since my last post but I was waiting for the light bulb in my head to switch off from finals and on to the things I love. Winter is finally here and to me it's a time to reignite the sparkle in one's life. What better way than combining my favorites , glitz and Pumps! Below are some that I feel take the cake from the Swarovski crystal line.

Will go out of my way to step on a crunchy leaf

Fall is a time of change but also a time to see what really lies underneath all the florish and abundance the Spring and Summer offer.

I love fashion, but I love fashion that still allows me to be me. You have to have fun and let go sometimes and what better place then in a crunchy leaf pile

Starting fresh sometimes requires changing your perspective

Sometimes you can find yourself in a box, with a sealed lid.

I have been feeling like that , in a dark cramped place.

I don't know about you but it wasn't where I wanted to stay for long.

This required some simple but drastic methods.

1. Makeup

2. Cute Outfit that must, hear me ,MUST consist of plaid in some way or form.

3. Shoes... normally when trying to pick myself up I go for the heels but Fall is the one time in life when my loves can unite, leather, boots and heels.

4. Be silly, and I mean Insanely goofy . Embrace the crazy , messed up person that you are and bathe in the glory of your individuality.

5. Good Friends and a change of persceptive

It's a funny story

When I first saw the trailer for this movie I assumed it was going to be mediocre at best. It certainly didn't prepare me for the subject manner it actually went into. It was funny but in a smart deep way that let you deal with the realness of the issues this young boy was going through. And it was totally relatable. It's funny how we are all really one bad day from the breaking point and it's important that we notice this and seek help when we do. It's also important to be ready to help. Zach Galifinakis  really is starting to impress me. Maybe he's not just a one hit wonder after all.

This is Why I am Hot

Every now and then life can get you down. People can make you rethink yourself , your worth , and you can wish for the moments when your were back inside the safety of your room , hidden under the covers.

It's times like these that I'm blessed to have the friends I do in my life. We all know how that song goes but I know for sure why I'm hot, because I have friends determined to keep me shining , to maintain that inner glow.

P.S. This night we rep'd our northern roots and braved the evening with what you see hear. I think we did quite a good job .

Looking Glass

Two posts in one evening... Well technically it's a new day so I'm going to let it slide. Ever look at a picture of yourself and not know the person? This picture did that for me.  It was the first time I looked and saw what my friends always see and I was surprised at the woman I'd become. Not half bad and I'm liking this head raised high. Still a work in progress but I'm enjoying the ride. Not half bad for a school day. Yes it's official , my season is here.

Baby Steps

Baby steps. Yup Definitely off to a slow start but it's a start none the less.

I figured put your best face forward and here it is. More to come but this has definitely been a week of new starts . The weather has cooled and it seems November will always make sure it stands out. I wish I could still flop out of bed and pull on some jeans and a shirt like I'm wearing in this picture but no, that time has passed . Oh well , I do love the fall
